Look Out, Beach, Here I Come!
Summer is right around the corner, and that means you're gonna want to show off your bod. Oh, God! The idea of a bathing suit, may scare the crap out of some, eh? Well, you're on your way with Bootcamp. First off, celebrate who you are and how far you've already come with Barry's Bootcamp. You're beautiful! Now that you've picked your self-esteem off the floor, try these beach body tips!
- Cardio in the morning - Before you eat! Have a cup of caffeine if you need that energy boost and GO! Your sugar levels will be low and the caffeine will release some fat for fuel. Then eat a protein rich breakfast to feed your muscles.
- High Intensity Interval Training - Short bursts of high-intensity aerobics between bouts of lower-intensity cardio. All your Bootcamp workouts are 60 seconds of exercise followed by 30 seconds of rest. This will trick your body into expending maximal energy and burning the most calories. Sprint then run, sprint then run.
- Resistence Training - Even if you burn the fat, you still need to tone the underlying muscle for that ripped beach body you're craving. Strength training will result in a faster metabolism and a leaner body. You don't need a gym or dumbbells - pushups, sit-ups, and Barry's Bootcamp Burn and Firm resistance do the job. But if you want to pick up some weights, go for it!
- Shake up your routine - You'll get bored if you're doing the same thing every day. Change exercises, pace, and the amount of weight or number of reps/sets every 4 to 6 weeks. This is why on your calendar, we change the workouts daily!
- Eat 5 small meals a day - It's the ultimate way to kick your metabolism into high gear. It also keeps blood sugar stable and tames hunger.
