Does sweating more burn more cals? (Friends says don't use fan)

Barry or anybody who can answer this,

I have a question. I always sweat a bit when I workout at the gym, mostly on the eliptical. At home it has been the same, BUT, now that I do Barry's Bootcamp I sweat a lot when I workout. I get really hot when I am doing Barry's Bootcamp and when I do my morning workout I just added. I mean like my t-shirt is sweaty, back and front, socks are sweaty...Oh, you get the idea =) Don't want to be too yucky.

So the AC and ceiling fan is not enough, and I am drinking water while I workout, so I added a fan that blows on me. I still sweat a lot, but not as much. Would I burn more cals/fat if I sweat more? Is adding a fan not a good idea? Do I want to sweat like crazy?

I know it's a silly question, but I really want to know. I have a couple of guys telling me to sweat it out and I will burn more cals.

   Thanks, Aubrey

Thanks! I am keeping the fans off and sweating away!
I also just started taking your Fat Blaster today. I like it so far. I feel really good!

The wetter the better, I always say! But sweating doesn't burn calories. You can sit in a sauna and sweat buckets but you won’t burn many more calories than sitting on a park bench. Our bodies sweat to keep from overheating. But sweating is a great indicator that you are really raising your heart rate and are in that fat-burning zone. That’s when you’re burning serious calories. Not only that, but with Bootcamp’s high intensity training you'll boost your metabolism for hours. Do that and you'll burn more calories even when you're not working out. How cool is that!? But speaking of cool, you don't want to be cool when you're working out. I don't turn the fans on in my Bootcamp gyms til the last few minutes of class, and it gets crazy hot in there. (Just sip water every 15 minutes while you exercise and take a short break if you feel dizzy.) Working out in a warm environment helps to warm your muscles, and helps prevent injuries. Tendons and muscles are more likely to tear when they’re cold. That's why you should warm up and stretch before going hardcore. Stretching after a workout is also important. You can even stretch in the warm shower after a workout. Remember “the wetter the better!”
