I read protein shake recipes online the other day and saw quite a few that add Coffee-Mate (just one tablespoon or less is all you need) for flavor. It only adds about 35 calories and just a tiny bit of sugar. I have been doing it for a couple of weeks and I love it! I still use the whey protein from GNC, the vanilla and chocolate, and add the Coffee-mate. If you use the chocolate protein mix and use the Black Cherry Streusel Coffee-mate flavor it tastes just like you are drinking a chocolate covered cherry! It is sooooo good! There are so many flavors, so you can make so many different shakes.

Wow bking! I put some butterscotch Jell-o pudding mix in my vanilla protein shake and it was so good! I have added fruit and cocoa but I would have never thought of butterscotch! Thanks! I have not tasted butterscotch in over five months. It's one of my favorite flavors.

Considering that protein shakes are important because I am a gastric bypass patient, I say I love using vanilla shakes, adding some banana flavoring and some frozen strawberries...yummy! Add ice, some Cool Whip...has very little fat..just carbs...very little is needed. It's awesome.

I use the whey protein from GNC (the vanilla flavor) and use milk instead of water and add any kinds of fruits --- such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries... and so forth--- remember to drink this prior if you have a strenous workout and after---

The chocolate protein I use is Whey Protein. I use 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup skim milk, 1 scoop of protein, 2 tablespoons of organic maple syrup and 1 1/2 FROZEN bananas. Freezing the bananas thickens the shake and you don't need ice cubes. This shake is delicious however, too many calories for a snack so I would drink mine for lunch.

What kind of chocolate protein shake do you use? Do you use it as a snack or a meal replacement?

Is cabbage good to eat? I don't really care for spinach or kale. I have a great vegetable soup recipe that has a lot of cabbage in it.
