About Me
Hello everyone! I am engaged to a very supportive, wonderful man and we are the proud owners of two African Grey parrots, a quaker, and a red-bellied senegal. My pride and joy is my Granddaughter, Kaitlyn, who lives in Minnesota. My daughter, and very best friend, is also my favorite dieting buddy! We email each other almost every day and encourage each other with our dieting and exercising goals. I also have two friends at work who are dieting buddies. We all have about the same "goal" - losing that 15-20 lbs that we just can't seem to get rid of!! I have been a "yo-yo dieter" my whole life. So far, the only time I have ever been successful with losing weight is by doing Atkins or any kind of low-carb plan, but this time I have decided to go for more healthier food choices and learn to eat right (fruits, veges, healthy carbs, lean meats,etc) and control my portions as well. I am trying to stick to the "Fat Smash" diet plan which is similar to the Bootcamp way of eating. I would really like to start making exercise a daily part of my life and stick to it instead of being a sporadic exerciser which gets me nowhere. For exercise I have been walking (45-60 min) or step aerobics in the past. I really haven't done any strength training. I have been a member at gyms, but never seem to go! At Christmas I bought myself a treadmill and used it alot-that really seems to work for me. I know I need to do strength exercising though, esp. with my age I am saggy and flabby and I know using weights and bands will really help with that issue. So that is why I decided to go with Barry's Bootcamp! This really seems like a great group!! Favorite Books
Read a lot of non-fiction of all sorts (self-help, anything with the paranormal, health books), read fiction - mostly thrillers and supernatural. Right now am reading the "Joel Osteen" books. Love all cookbooks!

Reading, beading (jewelry), sewing, knitting, hiking, movies.
